What is gamma radiation?

Gamma radiation is extremely high energy electromagnetic radiation. It has more energy than all other forms of electromagnetic radiation, such as X-rays and visible light.

It can travel through most materials, and its high energy makes it very dangerous.

Gamma radiation is created by nuclear explosions and high energy events in space.
